Rachel Cruz’s latest release, “Voices of Our People,” marks a defining new chapter in her catalog and has been officially entered for consideration at this year’s Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. The release follows her 2020 single “Like The Ocean,” which was featured in Magnum P.I. (Season 5, Episode 4). Her alternative rock release “Creepin’ Under My Skin” was accompanied by a music video directed by Fairai Richmond and produced by Bryan Spicer (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Hawaiʻi Five-0, The X-Files). Cruz’s debut EP premiered live at Blue Note Hawaii and included a partnership with PACT Hawaii, where she advocated for women and children affected by domestic abuse. Earlier in her career, her worship release “Back Where I Belong” sold 3,000 CDs within its first three days, underscoring a body of work shaped by purpose, inspiration and love.
